Norman’s of London – Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction All information in these Terms & Conditions is given to the best of our knowledge and may be updated at the discretion of the Directors of Norman’s of London Ltd.
The Company: Norman’s of London Ltd The Hirer: Any person booking transport, verbally or in writing By making a booking, the Hirer agrees to these terms and accepts responsibility for every person in their party.
2. General Conditions All vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and comply with local authority regulations. The Company’s Directors have full discretion over any operational decisions. Prices are fixed at the time of booking unless the booking details change. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate.
3. Bookings & Confirmations Only pre-booked journeys with written confirmation (email or text) are valid. Any special instructions must be confirmed in writing at the time of booking. If confirmation is not received within 24 hours, it is the Hirer’s responsibility to contact the Company.
4. Pricing & Additional Charges Minimum Rate: £75 per hour Additional charges may include: London Congestion Charge Parking fees Road tolls Night Rate (01:00–05:00): +50% Public Holidays (Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day): +100% Prices may be subject to VAT at the current rate. A written quote will be provided at the time of booking; the Hirer must agree before confirmation.
5. Cancellations More than 24 hours before the journey: No charge 24 hours or less: 100% of total fare Passenger no-show within 1 hour: Full fare charged Driver waiting on arrival (Wait & Return booking): Full fare charged Major events / multiple vehicle bookings: Less than 48 hours notice → 100% of fare Less than 5 days notice → 50% of fare Full fare is charged if the driver is already en-route.
6. Payments & Account Facilities Payment methods: Credit card, online bank transfer, cash, or cheque Monthly account holders: Invoices issued during the first week of each month; payment due within 15 days Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 Credit facilities are at the discretion of the Company and may be withdrawn without notice Do not pay the driver directly unless agreed in writing
7. Meet & Greet Services Airports Heathrow & Gatwick: 45 minutes free waiting from actual landing time London City, Luton, Stansted, Southampton: 45 minutes waiting from scheduled landing time Parking costs incurred by the driver will be charged to the Hirer Mobile number required for driver to notify arrival Trains / Eurostar 30 minutes waiting from scheduled arrival time Mobile contact required for arrival updates Delays due to passenger unavailability (phone off, late) are the Hirer’s responsibility
8. Vehicles & Drivers The Company may replace vehicles or chauffeurs to maintain service quality Vehicle Rules: No smoking No outside food Bottled water may be consumed inside the vehicle only The Hirer is responsible for damage caused by themselves or their party Valeting due to passenger soiling: £350 charge + lost bookings Drivers may refuse service for disorderly, threatening, or unsafe behavior Extra Requests / Alterations Changes to bookings (additional stops, extra waiting, extended mileage) must be communicated in advance Extra charges may apply for changes made during the journey
9. Liability The Company is not responsible for: Severe weather Traffic accidents or congestion Vehicle breakdowns or accidents If a vehicle breaks down during a journey, the Company will attempt to provide a replacement at no extra cost The Hirer is responsible for: Luggage & personal items during transport Ensuring items are loaded/unloaded properly
10. Security & Special Services Norman’s of London specializes in: VIP, executive, and protective transport Escorts for dignitaries, celebrities, and sensitive cargo Professional advance work, risk assessment, and situational management Chauffeurs are trained by the British Chauffeurs Guild – London Security Chauffeur Training Diploma
11. Governing Law All bookings are subject to UK law. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of English courts.
